The Trader Joe’s supermarket chain announced the voluntary recall of its almond cookies because they may possibly contain stones inside their packaging and urges consumers to dispose of them or exchange them in store for a refund.
The company addressed consumers via a statement noting that “if you purchased or received donations of almond windmill cookies and/or almond cookies and dark chocolate chips, do not eat them,” it said.
According to the Trader Joe’s advertisement, the cookies are no longer on the store shelves “All potentially affected products have been withdrawn from sale and destroyed,” he stressed while detailing which products are affected:
Although the withdrawal has been made, The chain indicated that it is not clear how many boxes were affected nor are they able to explain how the stones got into the biscuit packaging.
