The dollar continues to gain against the Mexican peso and begins today’s session in the green, although the changes compared to yesterday’s session are minimal. The price is 16.76 pesos per dollar unit and in the average for buying and selling the value is 16.76 and 16.77, respectively.
Meanwhile, experts predict that the Mexican peso will remain strong even in 2024. Despite the fact that the first projections, for the end of the year, of the price of the dollar against the peso pointed to the barrier of 21 pesos; now it is possible that the dollar will not close but at the barrier of 18 pesos and that keeps the Aztec currency strong.
It must be taken into account that this “strength” of the Mexican peso, and therefore of the Mexican economy, unleashes concerns in some sectors since they do not see it as convenient. They stand out among the sectors concerned about a “Superweight”, due to a possible negative impact: the tourism sector, exports and real estate.
In the Honduran exchange market The dollar does not show many changes at the beginning of the day, and although the trend is negative, the price remains at 24.62 lempiras per dollar unit. The average for the purchase and sale in 24.17 and 25.06 lempiras per greenback, respectively.
In Nicaragua, the dollar maintains a positive trend, but without much change, today it is trading at 36.58 cordobas per dollar unit. For the purchase and sale, the average remains between 36.13 and 37.02 cordobas per dollar, respectively.
In Costa Rica, the dollar continues the negative trend with which it began the week. Today’s price is 537.12 colones per greenback unit and for buying and selling the price ranges between 524.64 and 549.61 colones per dollar, respectively.
In the Dominican Republic, the dollar remains positive against the peso, although lower than yesterday. Today the exchange rate is 56.04 pesos per dollar unit; and the average price for the purchase and sale, respectively, is 55.32 dop and 56.75 Dominican pesos per dollar unit.
The dollar in Venezuela shows no changes at the beginning of the day this Wednesday and is trading at the same price as yesterday at 28.63 bolivars per unit of greenbacks, for buying and selling the average remains at 28.59 and 28.66 bolivars per dollar, respectively.
In Colombia, the dollar falls and shows a downward trend, with which the Colombian peso continues to be the most appreciated currency of the year against the greenback. The dollar trades at 3,991 pesos per dollar unit, with an average for buying and selling of 3,990 and 3,993, respectively.
