The dollar starts the day of the week in positive, in all emerging Latin American markets. In the Aztec market, the green bill is currently trading at 19.26 pesos per dollar unit. The trend remains upward.
At the bank window, the average price of the dollar in Mexico is 19.25 pesos per unit for purchase and for sale it is 19.27 pesos per dollar unit.
The previous Friday, the Mexican peso closed the weekly session marked by high volatility and with a depreciation of more than 20 cents. This was highlighted by Gabriela Siller from Banco Base in her closing analysis on Friday.
In Honduras, the dollar continues with a positive trend against the lempira, although its value moves very little. The average today is 24.65 lempiras per greenback unit; and for the purchase and sale, the maximum and minimum are between 24.50 and 24.80 lempiras per dollar, respectively.
In Nicaragua, the dollar also maintains its positive trend and opens today at an average price of 36.54 cordobas per greenback unit. For buying and selling, the trend remains at the same average between 36.08 cordobas and 37.00 cordobas per dollar, respectively.
In Costa Rica, the dollar continues with an upward trend. The green bill trades against the Costa Rican colon at a price of 570.63 per dollar unit. In the average purchase and sale, the green ticket moves between 567.55 for the purchase and 573.60 colones per dollar, respectively.
In the Dominican Republic, the dollar remains positive against the local peso. Today it is trading at 56.53 DOP per dollar unit. For the purchase and sale of the green ticket in Dominican banks, the average today is between 56.29 pesos and 56.77 DOP per dollar unit.
In Venezuela, the dollar remains at the barrier of 22 bolivars per unit and today the average price remains the closing price of the previous day. At least at the time of writing this note, the dollar was trading in Venezuela at 22.87 bolivars per dollar unit. And the price of the day goes with an exchange rate between 22.84 and 22.90 Bs. per green ticket for the purchase and sale, respectively.
