    Mega Millions raised its jackpot to $820 million for the next draw

    For the last draw on Friday, July 21, there was no winner; however, the Mega Millions jackpot upped his bet to $100 million more, reaching $820 million dollars.

    For the game this Tuesday, July 25, it is expected to be one of the largest in the history of Mega Millions, as reported in a statement. In Friday’s draw the winning numbers were 29, 40, 47, 50 and 57 and a Mega Ball of 25, in which eight tickets with five white balls were sold for a prize of $1 million dollars.

    The result was one in California, two in Florida, two in New Jersey, one in North Carolina and the same in Michigan, Mega Millions said. Although the chances of winning the jackpot are one in 302.58 million.

    Tuesday’s winner is likely to have two options: either receive the $422 million dollar blanket payment before taxes or accept an annuity, that is, one payment immediately and then 29 payments followed annually, most winners often choose to receive a cash payment.

    So far in the history of the game there are only four jackpots, of all of them the highest was in South Carolina for $1.537 billion in October 2018. Last week Powerball also increased its jackpot to $1.08 billion dollars, becoming the sixth largest in the history of the United States lottery.

    While the largest prize in Powerball history was in February and reached $2.04 billion dollars, it was sold in Los Angeles, which by now has become the area with the most winners.
