For this fall, amid an American fascination with seasonal spices, fast-food chain Chick-fil-A announced that will temporarily add two items to your menu for the next two months.
This is the Autumn Spice Milkshake, a fall spice shake and the Grilled Spicy Deluxe Sandwichwhich returns to menus from September 12 through November 12, Chick-fil-A said in a statement.
This year, Chick-fil-A offers a different take with its fall-inspired milkshake, but away from the pumpkin spice. Its seasonal flavor combines cinnamon and brown sugar cookie pieces and it’s handmade with Chick-fil-A’s Icedream dessert, according to the ad.
“Guests love our shakes, especially our seasonal flavors, so we are excited to present the perfect gift to welcome the season fall,” Leslie Neslage, director of menu and packaging for Chick-fil-A, said in a statement.
While this new flavor is an alternative to the fruity options that many people love, the sweet, tangy, and satisfying sip is something customers might even want year-round.
“We received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback that inspired our decision to launch this new shake across the country,” said Neslage. “We can’t wait for our Chick-fil-A milkshake enthusiasts try the Autumn Spice shake this fall“.
Neslage noted that the new dessert was first tested in Salt Lake City, Utah, last October.
For their part, while some people never stray from the classic chicken sandwich, others prefer a grilled option. But, grilled chicken doesn’t have to be bland and boring. The Grilled Spicy Deluxe Sandwich is back for people who crave a bolder flavor.
This seasonal grilled chicken sandwich is marinated in spicy seasonings, topped with Colby-Jack cheese, lettuce and tomato on a multigrain brioche bun, according to the ad.
For customers looking for a creative pairing for this menu item, Neslage had an interesting suggestion. “It’s my favorite seasonal sandwich and for those trying it for the first time, I suggest combining it with our fresh and creamy lime and cilantro sauce to balance the heat of the sandwich. You won’t be disappointed with the combination of flavors.”
During the previous weeks, companies such as Dunkin or Starbucks also announced their special products for the fall. Oreo also released a limited edition Pumpkin Spice Sandwich cookie.after a break of 5 years in its production.
